You're replacing a sun-faded, road-battered, barely sealed access hatch that's been holding on by a thread since your last trip. You pull it off, line up the new one, and it fits. Like it was made for your rig from the start. Because it was.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this B&B Black RV Multi-Purpose Hatch with Thumb Lock. Now, this exterior switch station is going to mount on your RV's outer wall to house a rocker switch. Maybe you need to replace a sun-faded, road-battered, barely sealed access hatch that's been holding on by a thread since your last trip. If that's so, then this is going to be exactly what you need. If you see here, this does have a thumb-lock latch there, so anybody's gonna be able to open this.
This isn't a key-lock latch, just so you're aware of that, but it's gonna help keep that door secure during travel or storage, you're not gonna have to worry about it popping open. And it does have a solid housing with a switch cutout, so that closed back with that one opening is going to give you that electrical access that you're looking for. Giving you some measurements here, let me line my ruler up here. So, looking at the overall width, we're sitting right at about maybe 6 1/4. It's looks like we're sitting right at about 6 1/4 inches wide, it looks like.
The overall height, about five inches tall, if you can see that. Cut cutout dimensions, about 4 1/8 inches wide. And then the height, about almost three inches tall, it looks like. The switch cutout dimensions is gonna be 1 1/8 inches wide. 7 7/8 of an inch tall.
Then the collar depth, right at an inch it looks like. So, hopefully those measurements are helpful to you. You're gonna get everything that you see here. Obviously, you're gonna get this hatch, but you're gonna get color-matching screws. The heads are color-matching, along with butyl tape to seal up your installation.
It's gonna be a pretty easy installation, I think. Durable construction. UV-stabilized black plastic is going to help resist fading and cracking, so it's gonna hold up really well to the elements that it's constantly exposed to. And we do have quite a selection of other products from B&B, whether it's hatches or other fittings, so if this isn't exactly what you're looking for, take a look at the other options that we carry from B&B. You can give us a call actually, and we can help you out if you're looking for something in particular besides this. But if you do pick this up, we'd love to hear back from you regarding your experience with getting this installed and using it. You can share your experience with us by dropping a comment or leaving a review on this product page. We'd love to hear from you. Well, that's gonna wrap up our quick look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.

Good product, fast shipping
Looks like a fine access door. I have yet to install it but the unit seems complete. Just what I needed.
The door itself was good quality. The lock used was of poor quality, using only a cheap clip to hold it in place. The lock would not hold the top of the door closed, which would let the tv tires throw water right into the compartment the door was attached to. Purchased another lock that used a nut to hold the lock securely in place and the door is now closed properly.
